Ok, so speaking of memory lane, I keep a sketchbook around my office within arms reach that remind me of my good ole' days, or maybe they were the fuck fucked up days/// I don't know. But I was a messenger in NYC in the mid 90's and this little black book was my road dog. I took it every where. I even passed it around to friends so they could stain it with a memory or two for me. It has mostly grafitti. But you'll also find pencil and pen drawings of people, my dogs, the city and other things. Thumb through and you may even find the love letters, dj track lists and random phone numbers and various scribble. I love that book!!!

Can you guess when this was done? (hint: it's inconspicuously dated)
I used to write LES and sometimes in grafitti (for those that aint up on it) you add prefixes and suffixes to have more fun with more letters among other reasons, I guess. I wanted to get around to coloring it, but i also like the simplicity of the black ink. Anyway, I wrote less because thats what I had, but now that less became more, so it still makes sense, more or less....

This is one of my favorite drawings. The memory behind it is probably better than the actual art work. I was waiting for my ex-ex girlfriend at Union square in NYC. She went to the New School on 14th and 5th ave (I think). She was taking forever and i had my book with me and I looked down the street. The Twin towers were standing tall in the background and I started to sketch. It's crazy because I feel lucky to have had the chance to see the Towers live and capture them at that moment. I never finished the drawing because after 2 hours my ex-ex girl emerged and we rolled out.
